About Us

Winsley Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School is an outstanding school (OFSTED 2011 and SIAMS 2016).

We are a village school with six classes and excellent facilities. Currently we have 162 children on roll. The school has a reputation for a caring, family atmosphere, and is founded on Christian beliefs and values. We encourage children to take part in a wide range of activities and experiences, to develop a love of learning whilst exploring moral and spiritual values through a stimulating curriculum based on lots of hands-on experience. In contributing fully to the life of their school and community, we feel the children learn to recognise their own worth, work well with others and become more confident in their own learning.

We are proud of both our high standards and our happy, caring and supportive environment.

We hold a School Games Silver Award for all of our sporting achievements and are an Eco School, having also achieved the Silver Award.

We actively encourage the involvement of parents and community.
